Within it's "Tech" section there is a detailed clarification of the recent changes to fire extinguisher regulations, which we believe should help clear up all of the confusion surrounding them.

Now onto the 2018 season starting this Sunday with a 63CC Autotest......
Tricky conditions on the opening round led to mixed results for car club crews yesterday.
Andrew Gallagher & Jane Nicol won the event by 6 seconds from Quintin Milne & Sean Donnelly (mind that membership!)
John Wink & John Forrest set great times on route to 6th place and top SRC challenger. Bruce McCombie & Michael Coutts had to settle for 7th after a puncture. Michael Hendry co drive Mark McCulloch to 12th after suffering from a misfire and Steering issue in their R5 debut.
Colin Patterson & Gary Clark overcame brake issues to finish 36th in the Escort. Kevin Crawford & Claire Martin were 38th in the EVO. Scott Burness & Jodi Devine were 41st and second in class with the Fiesta. Ronnie & Paul Horne were 45th with the Subaru. Scott McDonald overcame issues in the Nova to take 53rd.
Brian Ross retired with mechanical problems, sandy & Ian Arbuthnott made it to the last stage before electrical problems. Kenny Foggo retired on SS1 co driving for Michael Renton. Ian & Sandy Milne retired in the Escort.
Thanks to all at Highland Car Club for a good event, thanks to all 63 Car Club Marshal’s. The SRC now heads south to the Borders before the Speyside Stages on 21st April!
Stonehaven & District Motor Club's Gropers Rally 2018

The Gropers Rally is a round in the Scottish Navigational Rally Championship and takes part on the evening of 17th March, 2018. Regulations and an Entry Form will be made available by the end of January.

After last nights AGM the club have decided to look at running an Autocross again after an absence of 20 years. Some club members will remember these from years gone by but for those who don’t know what they are an Autocross is a timed race around a track set out in a field, 2 cars are on the course at one time but the overall results are worked out on time rather than the finishing position.
It’s in its very early stages at the moment but we are planning running it on Sunday 23rd of September.
2018 looks exciting with two new events on the horizon these events are at the very early planning stages but hopefully all will come through, these events are an Autosolo in May and an Autocross in September. More details as soon as confirmation is made.
